Jewish Woman wins Literature Nobel
Discover her work in Monday's "Women Poets" FREE online Jewish Culture 101 class
By a bizarre coincidence, an American Jewish woman poet has received the Nobel Prize for Literature four days before Jewish Culture 101’s long-planned class on…. American Jewish women poets.
Louise Glück was cited by the Nobel Committee for work whose “austere beauty makes individual existence universal.”
On Monday, October 12 at Noon EDT Jewish Culture 101 will read and analyze one of Glück’s poems, as well as two classics: Emma Lazarus’s “The New Colossus” and Irena Klepfisz’s “Bashert.”
